Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Picnic ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

Picnic is a desktop application for running projects through installed workflows, browser automations, local runtime services, and related cloud surfaces for syncing, billing, and messaging relay. Under the hood, Picnic uses local runtime infrastructure, but the product is intentionally presented through simpler project and workflow concepts.

3. Accounts and Authentication

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or allow others to access your account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Picnic offers paid subscription plans billed monthly. Payments are processed through Polar. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Picnic is designed to work with subscriptions first. If you choose the optional advanced manual setup and add your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter API key, you are solely responsible for any charges incurred with those third-party providers.

5. Fair Use

Subscription plans include fair-use rate limits to keep the service stable and predictable for all users. Limits may apply per hour, day, or week and may be adjusted for abuse prevention, safety, and infrastructure reliability.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Picnic to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Generate or distribute harmful, abusive, or illegal content
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse-engineer the cloud service (the desktop app itself is open-source)

7. Intellectual Property

The Picnic desktop application is built on OpenClaw, which is open-source. The Picnic brand, cloud services, website, and proprietary components remain the property of Picnic's creators. Your data remains yours.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Picnic is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated outputs will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Picnic's creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Picnic at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the application and cancelling your subscription.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Picnic after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
